This administration is determined to confront head-on all the issues bedevilling our state.   • To express an opinion whether the Annual Financial Statement prepared by the Local Governments and their Offices shows a true and fair view of the financial position of the Local Governments Offices.
  • To express an opinion whether proper books of accounts/records are kept.
  • To express an opinion whether public money is collected as and when due.
  • To express an opinion whether public money is properly accounted for.
  • To express an opinion whether public money expended is on goods and services enjoyed by the Local Government.
  • To express an opinion whether all rules, regulations and appropriation act are complied with.
  • To submit the audited report to the State House of Assembly and cause the report to be considered by the Public Accounts Committee of the House.
  • Local Government Staff Pension Board

  • Primary Healthcare Development Agency

  • State/Local Government Joint Accounts and Allocation Committee and all beneficiary offices of Local Government funds

  • All companies, corporations and properties owned by a Local Government or Jointly owned 

To audit and report to the Public Account Committee of the House in respect of the under-listed government and agencies

  • All the Eleven (11) Local Governments Councils
  • All the Emirate Councils in the State.

  • Universal Basic Education Board.

  • Local Government Service Commission.

  • Local Government Chieftaincy Affairs.

Gombe State is located in northeastern Nigeria and is one of the country's 36 states. It was created out of Bauchi state on 1st October, 1996 by the then military Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha. Gombe state shares boundaries with Yobe state to the North, Borno and Adamawa states to the East, Bauchi state to the West and Taraba State to the South. It is chiefly inhabited by many indigenous tribes which Fulani constitute the majority. The state is nicknamed as "Jewel in the Savannah".
